Algerian striker Rafik Saifi has warned his side against complacency when they tackle Rwanda in their opening 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Kigali on March 28.

Rwanda coach Branko Tucak has publicly stated that he believes Algeria will provide a sterner test than group rivals Egypt, but Saifi believes nothing can be taken for granted.

"It’s flattering but we shouldn’t be full of ourselves," he told dzfoot.com.

"It doesn’t mean anything. Coaches like to play mind games before matches. It’s good but it won’t change anything in terms of concentration.

"We must remain vigilant. The first match is very important because if we start well it will have a positive influence on the rest of our campaign and will be good for team morale."

Along with Rwanda and Egypt, Algeria will also meet Zambia for a place at the World Cup.
