Morocco Appoint Interim Coach

July 14, 2009

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (RMFF) have appointed Fethi Jemal as interim coach for the remainder of the 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign, according to reports in that country.

Mountakhab.net says the RMFF have decided not to announce a permanent replacement for departed Frenchman Roger Lemerre until after the World Cup qualifiers finish in November.

Jemal worked as assistant to Lemerre and so for the sake of continuity will be placed at the helm as the Atlas Lions try desperately to get their qualification campaign back on track after a shock home defeat to Gabon and draws with Cameroon and Togo.
