Nigeria winger John Utaka believes the 2010 World Cup will be poorer without the Super Eagles as he looks ahead to his side’s crucial home qualifier with Tunisia on September 6.

Nigeria trail Group B leaders Tunisia by two points, but a win in Abuja would put them in pole position in the pool with two games remaining. And confidence is high in the squad after the 0-0 draw in Tunis in June.

"The draw we got (in Tunis) has given us hope because had we not got the draw, our chances of qualification would have been a lot slimmer. That shows that we will play at the 2010 World Cup," Utaka told FourfourtwoNigeria.

"The 2010 World Cup without Nigeria will not be a good one and that’s why everybody is fighting to make sure we qualify."
